At Work Law Firm, we would love to become your “go-to” closing team for all your residential commercial closings.  We can assist individual buyers or sellers and commercial lenders with buying, selling or refinancing your home or commercial property.  We handled every kind of closing ranging from single vacant lots to entire apartment and office complexes. 

For most people, buying, selling or refinancing their home or commercial property is one of the biggest and most important business transactions that they will enter into.  Real estate transactions are complex transactions that require in depth knowledge of the applicable state and federal laws and the effective negotiation and coordination of multiple parties, from the buyers and sellers, lenders, real estate agents, surveyors and title insurance underwriters, to name a few.  Buyers and sellers need a closing team with the knowledge and experience and to navigate this difficult process with personal touch and customer service to make the process as smooth and worry free as possible.  At Work Law Firm, we have the knowledge, experience and personal touch required for a successful closing.  Our closing team may not be as big as some local title companies but we employ the same advanced real estate closing software and cutting edge computer security.  In addition, the lawyers at Work Law Firm that oversee your closings are practicing real estate and business law transaction and litigation attorneys, not simply closing attorneys, which give us an advantage in issue spotting and prevention.  We give every transaction the care and attention that it needs or requires. 

Our closing team currently includes Scott Work and Marsha Stokes.  Scott has been in practice and performing closings for over 18 years.  His first job was as a closing attorney, and he has not stopped since.  Between, 2011 and 2015, Scott went back to school while working full time and obtained a masters degree (LLM) in real estate law from the prestigious Greenberg Traurig Graduate Program in Real Property Development at the University of Miami School of Law. The masters program required the completion of 10-15 advanced law school courses in financing, leasing, environmental law, planning and zoning, construction, condominium law and project development. Indeed very few lawyers in the State and even smaller percentage in our local area have obtained such an advanced masters degree in real estate.  Scott’s practice has been primarily focused on real estate law for his entire practice. 

Marsha has been a title closer for nearly a decade now and has assisted residential and commercial clients in hundreds of transactions.  Marsha prides herself on providing the best customer service, and her southern charm is apparent to anyone she meets.  Marsha has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, is a Florida certified paralegal, is a Florida licensed real estate agent and this spring, she earned her Florida Title Insurance Agent license.  In her “spare” time, she even operates a mobile notary business.
